What we need is not complex Food, shelter, air and water Life is simple and direct Though red of tooth and claw To feel out what we want however Takes more than lifetime's span Of deep thought, somber introspection and that most perilous reflection For those who do the most To conquer this great puzzle Seem at greatest risk Of missing what they seek So maybe on this summer's day When gentle breezes tickle trees I would be better courting ladies Than scribbling poetry
